They can also be found on open plains and near rivers or in sub-urban zone. Behaviour: it hides under rocks and fallen trees. Authors say it´s aggressive, although the specimens which we collected were quite sociable. This species can also be found in bushes and trees, where it can be dissimulated by its color. Feeding: mices, frogs, little lizards, juvenile pigeons (pichones de torcazas), little birds and bats (an exemplar was collected in a cave on Sierra de Mahoma eating a Tadarida Brasiliensis Brasiliensis). Reproduction: in November, the Females can lay from 8 to 16 eggs attached between them, in nests of black ants. The juveniles born in december and january. Distribution :
